Our Shire

Yarloop is a unique town 126km south of Perth on South West Highway - one and a half hours from Perth GPO. In 1849 the first recorded settler, Joseph Logue, selected rich land on the banks of what is now known as Logue Brook. Yarloop became the focal point of Millars Timber industry in the South West. Come and visit the Yarloop Heritage Trail - a one hour leisurely walk highlighting historical buildings and sites that characterise the nature of this turn of the century timber mill town.

CRCs work closely with their Local Government and relationships with the local Shire are especially important. To find out more about Yarloop visit the Shire of Harvey website
