Yarloop Fire Shed Offical Opening

On the 26th of May, Yarloop saw the first piece of major infrastructure open in town since the 2016 Yarloop Bushfire. The Yarloop Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade’s new station stands proud opposite the war memorial, a new facility for the brigade to call home after working out of the Cookernup Fire Shed for the last 2 years.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Darren Clemm, Emergency Services Minister Fran Logan and Harvey Shire President Tania Jackson had the honour of declaring the station open. The Yarloop CWA Ladies did a fantastic job catering for the opening,  a huge thank you for all the work you do in our community.

A brand new truck also made a great addition to the brigade, who now have a fleet of two trucks (a 34 and a 44) and a fast attack.

We look forward to a future open day for the Yarloop firies to show of their new facility to the community.
